Medication Assisted Treatment(MAT)

New Visions Unlimited provides MAT services to those struggling with opioid addiction. These services are combined with our Intensive Outpatient (IOP) program. Our Nurse Practitioner will provide individualized care to address the physical components of addiction through the administration of Sublocade (R). A counselor will compassionately help clients learn coping skills, examine their thought processes, and learn how to embrace life in recovery.

Assessment and Prescription

The first step in the process is to be assessed by a counselor and our Nurse Practitioner. The NP will prescribe the client 1 week of suboxone. The client will return to the office next week for the Sublocade (R) injection.

Intensive Outpatient Services

Group/Individual Therapy is a requirement of our MAT program. Our IOP groups meet 3 times a week for 12 weeks. During those 12 weeks, clients are to meet with their primary counselor once a week.

Random drug screens are a key component of the program.

Aftercare and Maintenance

Once IOP is completed the client will then step down to aftercare services. The aftercare group meets twice a week for 4 weeks. Then once a week for 4 weeks.

Once aftercare is completed the client will continue meeting monthly with a counselor and a Nurse Practitioner.

Random drug screens will continue throughout aftercare and maintenance.

Buprenorphine for Pregnant Women

In addition to our Sublocade program, we prescribe Subutex to pregnant women in our IOP program.  Fighting opioid addiction is a struggle, especially while pregnant. Subutex can help:

  • prevent complications of opioid abuse

  • prevent complications of opioid withdrawal

  • prevent relapse to heroin use

  • increase safety for the developing unborn child
