If you receive substance use disorder (SUD) services from New Visions, your SUD records may be protected by a federal confidentiality law called 42 CFR Part 2.

13. When Written Consent Is Required
In most cases, New Visions may not disclose SUD-related records or confirm that you are receiving services without your written consent, even to family members or outside providers.

You may revoke your consent at any time unless already relied upon.
14. Qualified Service Organizations & Vendors
New Visions may share information with vendors/partners that provide services on behalf of New Visions (such as billing, EHR support, IT support, audit support, or legal services) only when permitted by applicable laws and confidentiality requirements, including 42 CFR Part 2.
15. Limited Exceptions Without Written Consent
Disclosure may occur without written consent only in narrow circumstances allowed under Part 2, such as:

You may request restrictions on uses/disclosures. New Visions is not required to agree to all restrictions.
